Secondary Project Continuity Plan & LIGHTHOUSE SERVICES
Secondary projects have emerged as an outcome of the re-organization of delivery organizations across service lines.
An overview of the activities related to the Secondary project is exhibited below.
As a reciprocal enablement to Project Managers of Secondary Project IDs in the system, LIGHTHOUSE has a toolkit COPYCAT which can be utilized for quicker turnaround time to document the continuity plan.
Secondary project ids are dependent on the Primary Project ID and have an independent head count, contingency head could and differed Recovery Time Objectives. Special needs for IT and Facilities as secondary projects require to be accounted for in the system for continuous business operation.
Considering this the FOLLOW-ME service enabled through the COPYCAT utility through self-service OR navigated support is a feature available.
Project Managers of Secondary Projects must utilize this service and rise resilience for the secondary project only if applicable and enabled in Lighthouse for ongoing transactions.
COPYCAT Utility Usage – Pre-requisites
- The Secondary Project ID must have a designated Primary Project ID allocated.
- The Primary Project ID must have a Lighthouse Continuity Plan documented in the system.
- If the Primary Project ID does not have a documented Lighthouse Continuity Plan – COPYCAT cannot be utilized. First create the Primary Project ID continuity plan in LIGHTHOUSE by the accountable project manager who leads the Primary Project.
- If the Secondary Project ID Lighthouse Continuity Plan exists and the Primary Project ID Lighthouse Continuity Plan exists – then BE CAREFUL – Do not use COPYCAT without assessing for OVERWIRTE impact and damage assessment. You will need to rewrite the Secondary Plan if a WRONG COPYCAT is executed.
